Character Classes

Most of the character classes are based on the Castles and Crusades system. The bards, cleric, and monk are extremely different from the C&C versions. C&C does not have a sorcerer. The general rules are covered on my companion website, Old School Dungeons & Dragons (link here). The basic character classes are detailed on that site (link here).
This page lists the classes that are in the campaign world. For the first campaign, some classes are not available (NA) and humans are the only player character race. These limitations are due to the plot and campaign world.

"Class" will link you to the generic class details while "Faction" will link to specific Prealith variations and factions for that class.
If a character class is not available in the 1st campaign, it will be marked NA (not available). Again, classes and additional races for the classes will open up for the 2nd campaign...
Class Possible Limitations and/or Conditions in Paks World
Assassin NA. Class. Race - unknown. Faction Note: these details are deliberately brief & vague - consider the class!
Barbarian NA. Class Human only. Factions.
Bard - Low Class. Open to humans, elves, and half-elves. Stronger combat with some rogue talents. Factions.
Bard - High Class. Open to humans of Wanderer descent only. Weaker combat but bard magic. Factions.
Cleric Class. Powers & limitations depend on the cleric's god. Clerics can be strong in spells but weak in combat, vice versa, or a balance. All player races. Factions (different Religions). Locations & Numbers
Druid Class. Open to humans with Old Human blood or Elves. 'Nature cleric' + powers. Factions.
Fighter Class. Open to humans, elves, half-elves, and dwarves. Strongest fighting class. Factions.
Illusionist NA. Class. Open to Elves only. Illusions plus magic warps/changes reality. Factions.
Knight Class. Open to humans, elves, and half-elves depends on order. Fighter on horseback + leader. Factions.
Monk Class. Open to humans only. Brawler, staff + improv weapon master. Common folk mentor. Factions.
Paladin Class. Open to humans, half-elves (who favour human side). Holy warrior. Factions.
Ranger Class. Open to humans, preferably Ice People, half-elf, or elf. Wilderness warrior. Factions.
Rogue Class. Open to humans, half-elves, elves, and dwarves. Factions.
Runemaster NA. Class. Open to humans of pure Old Human ancestry only. Factions.
Sorcerer NA. Class. Open to humans of magelord ancestry only. Factions.
