Dwarves
Dwarves in this world are the classic D&D/Castles and Crusades dwarves. This link will describe the dwarven race as set out in Castles and Crusades and for this world. Dwarves believe they are the eldest race, not elves ("Stone before trees"). Dwarves are very tribal. Dwarves will have friendships with individuals from other races - but for entire peoples, the belief is dwarves first (for example, dwarves think nothing of overcharging members of other races).
Dwarven player characters may be clerics (Dwarven gods), fighters, or rogues. There are dwarven minstrels (low bards) but they confine their talents to the dwarven kingdoms. The other classes are not available to dwarven players. Dwarves may multi-class as fighter/clerics or fighter/rogues.
Dwarves may belong to a particular thieves' guild or to an adventuring band. Unless an outcast, a dwarf will belong to one of the Dwarfmount Kingdoms or to the Golden Axe Clan. Follow this link for more details on Dwarven factions.
