Horse Nomads

Overview: The Horse Nomads come from the lands west and north of Fintha. Nomadic herdsmen and raiders.
Player Characters: Not open to player characters.
Appearance: A short and stocky people with light brown skin with a slight yellowish cast. Eyes are generally brown with a slight epicanthic fold.
Locations: A small number of people in Fintha have Horse Nomad heritage and numbers decline further east. They are never seen in Prealith.
Known Characteristics: Horse nomads measure their worth in horses - almost all males are bowlegged due to their constant time on horseback. They worship Guthlac (Lord of the Hunt), the Mare of Plenty (like Alyanya but a dun mare, and the Windsteed (who sired the Mare of Plenty's foals who became the first horses of the nomads' herds. Horse nomads wander from place to place to graze their herds. They augment their living with raids and charging caravans a fee for permission to travel through their lands. Horse nomads use a powerful composite short bow that they can masterfully aim from horseback. They are widely known as the best light cavalry in the world. Children must undergo a trial of strength and courage by going on a ritual hunt with three horses and complete a vision quest.
Rumoured Characteristics: Horse nomads can sense magic of any kind though they abhor it. They know and will not tell where paladins' horses come from.
